When will be the best time to travel?

Cambodia has two main seasons: the Dry Season and the Rainy Season. The Dry Season normally begins in early November and lasts until the end of April, while the Rainy Season starts in early May and continues through the end of October. Each season offers different experiences and unique beauty for travelers visiting the country.

Many people believe that the entire Rainy Season is not a suitable time to travel in Cambodia, but this is actually a misunderstanding. In fact, the first few months of the rainy season are considered one of the best times to visit the country. During this period, the weather is cooler, the heat is less intense, and rainfall is usually short and refreshing rather than constant. After the first rains arrive, Cambodia’s countryside transforms into a stunning landscape filled with lush green rice fields, tropical forests, and beautiful scenery.

Another excellent time to travel is at the beginning of the Dry Season, especially from November onward, when temperatures become more comfortable and pleasant, often dropping to around 70°F (21°C) in the mornings and evenings. This season is ideal for temple visits, outdoor adventures, cycling tours, and cultural exploration.

No matter the season, Cambodia always offers memorable experiences, warm hospitality, and incredible natural beauty for every traveler.
